Based in the Netherlands, Wolly Willow is a peaceful sanctuary where our sheep live out their golden years. Named after Wolly, one of our very first sheep, whose name is a nod to the Dutch word for woolly. Surrounded by lush pastures, mysterious woodlands, and under a special starry sky, we invite you to discover our story and the magic of our land.
The Story of Wolly Willow
Wolly Willow was born out of a deep love for animals, nature, and astronomy. Right now, fourteen beautiful sheep get to call this place their forever home, living out their days in peace. It is a sanctuary where respect is key, and where we wholeheartedly believe in the words of Roald Dahl:
“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you, because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.
Those who don't believe in magic will never find it.”
More than Just Sheep
Life thrives between our lush pastures and vibrant woodlands. Our land serves as a harmonious sanctuary for our sheep as well as the local wildlife. Those who take a closer look might just encounter curious badgers or majestic owls.
To give nature an extra helping hand, we actively foster biodiversity. By planting natural hedgerows and creating insect-friendly habitats, we ensure that birds and tiny pollinators can flourish here undisturbed.
